I teach private lessons out of my home and also teach live online via skype. My approach as your instructor will be to assess your current level, and together develop a lesson plan based on your objectives.
If you are a beginner or are not sure which musical direction to take, my role will be to help you discover and identify your musical goals, and to set up a lesson plan that is challenging, yet achievable. I have found that my students are most successful when we collaborate in this aspect of the learning process.
I teach and play the harmonica and ukelele in a full range of musical genres. These include blues, traditional jazz, modern jazz, country, bluegrass, Irish, Brazilian, Klezmer and Middle Eastern, to name a few. I also think it’s important to incorporate some music theory and its application on the harmonica into my lesson plans.
